The curatorial project "SlingShot Project" was founded in 2000 by a Franco-American couple, Susan Long and Virgil de Voldère. The purpose of the SlingShot Project is to promote a cross-cultural dynamic by exhibiting artists from both continents.

Based in New York, SlingShot Project was first located in the Lower East Side and has now opened a 2,500 square foot exhibition space in Soho. SlingShot Project is developing its activities in Paris with Claude Corpechot. So far, SlingShot Project has presented more than 30 artists in London, Paris, NY, Miami, etc. : painters, sculptors, installation artists, photographers, and video artists.
